Topic: Minatures?
What are you fine folks using for Lamentations miniatures? I'm about to paint up some Warlord Games guys.

I don't tend to bother with minis for RPGs, but if I did want to grab some Warlord's Pike & Shotte would probably be what I'd go for too.

And while we're on the subject,

European Weapons & Warfare 1618-1648 looks especially tasty.
No miniatures at all for us since we're playing online.
I've got tons of the things here at the house for wargames... but even then I prefer going TotM or just drawing a quick sketch if some terrain/layout needs to be better illustrated.
Even playing newer games (like 5th edition D&D) me and my group tend not to use minis for anything more complicated than showing marching order or occasionally very rough-and-dirty fight layouts. Often we just arrange our dice on the table to get an idea across.

You can also look at the old Citadel line for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, many of those fit quite well. Mordheim figures can work (the human gang sprues are incredible for building a group of adventurers) but they get BIG compared to the 28MM guys from earlier GW and Pyke and Shotte stuff from Warlord. Wargames Foundry has TONS of suitable minis. Check this line out: http://www.wargamesfoundry.com/our-rang shbucklers
If it's cheap I use it! I scrounge whatever I can, 50c minis here, dollar minis there.
I'll use D&D plastics, Bones Kickstarter minis; I have some Wargames Factory minis for Anglo/Zulu stuff, I rebase Heroclix, Heroscape and Dreamblades. I have metal minis from tons of different companies from the early 80s to today. The old metal sometimes helps to evoke the 'simple man' feel of LotFP, since they are usually less detailed and ornamental. They're all good! I even use a bunch of BattleLore Pikemen as Halflings.
That being said, I do highly recommend checking out Dreamblade minis. Dreamblade was this odd little chess-like game with som really weird dreamlike/nightmarish figures that are perfect for LotFP. Not all, of course, but a good number.
Those Pike & Shotte minis posted earlier look really nice for LotFP's 'unofficial default setting'
