Topic: Strength Damage Bonus?

Hi, I'm new here and just read the rules.  One thing I noticed was that nowhere does it say that you add your Strength Bonus to your melee weapon damage, nor your Dex bonus to ranged weapon damage. Is this correct? Or is that an omission?

Thanks,
Bob

That is correct. You can house-rule in the damage bonus if you want.

Thanks

Re: Strength Damage Bonus?

You add them to your To Hit roll, which as far as I can tell is as intended; damage is kept a bit lower and less reliable, and anyone can possibly cause 1 damage. The damage output of a strong fighter is still far higher than others, due to more frequent hits.

I have two handed weapons like greatswords apply your strength modifier to damage. Goes along with Shields Shall Be Splintered and a roll-to-hit-once-roll-damage-for-both thing with dual wielding.
