26.05.2015: UK Games Expo + Open Monster Submissions

Item 1:

DOOM OVER BIRMINGHAM

This Friday Lamentations of the Flame Princess will be rolling in to the UK Games Expo with a table full of goodies. I've printed up 200 mini-catalogs listing all the available titles with short descriptions and they'll be available at the table so I don't have to go on a speedpitch for nearly 30 titles.

At the table will be:

The Doom-Cave of the Crystal-Headed Children
Forgive Us
Fuck For Satan
The God that Crawls
The Idea from Space
Isle of the Unknown
The Monolith from beyond Space and Time

Item 2:

Open Submissions for LotFP Monsters - Paid Writing Work!

A few months ago there were open submissions for magic items to be included in the LotFP Referee book and that produced some awesome stuff. We're doing it again for new monsters. Details here.

20.04.2015: Grindhouse Edition Ref Book Available for Download

Since the new Referee book is taking forever^2, I thought it would be nice to have some sort of Ref book out there since the LotFP fan and customer base has greatly increased these past two years.

So here's the old Grindhouse Ref book as a free download. Includes the introductory adventure A Stranger Storm, which will not be reprinted.

14.03.2015: Stuck Between Friday the 13th and the Ides of March

A Red & Pleasant Land, No Salvation for Witches, The Idea from Space, Death Frost Doom, and Tower of the Stargazer have finally landed Stateside at distribution and will now be filtering out to retail and you'll be able to pick them up from your local game store.

That took way too long. The books themselves were delayed for months to begin with, and then the distro freight shipment usually arrives 4-6 weeks after I receive my copies. In this case it took THREE MONTHS, which is completely ridiculous and I need to make sure there's not that kind of delay again. Retail is just one sales avenue among many in the LotFP business plan, but I don't mean to make them last-in-line...

Also, about some behind-schedule stuff:

Broodmother SkyFortress' second attempt at a layout is complete (160 pages!), and Ian MacLean is working on over 40 pages of art for it. A few of them in full color. That'll take some months. This will be hardcover.

Towers Two's layout is complete (112 pages!), and Jeremy Duncan is working on over 50 pieces of full color art for it. That'll take hopefully just a couple months. This will be hardcover.

Barry Blatt's England Upturn'd is in layout right now, 128 pages at the moment but that may change.

Rafael Chandler has turned in the text for World of the Lost, which will now be 4-booklet + cloth map boxed set.

Zzarchov Kowolski's The Pale Lady was recently released to backers of the Better Than Any Man campaign (yes it's laaatteeee), and Andre Novoa's the Squid, The Cabal, and the Old Man is currently in layout (50 pages long on last go-through).

Also, the reprint of Vornheim is delayed as the layout person has taken leave, but Zak's next project's first draft is in hand as well.

Plus there are a billion zillion other things going on (Ref book work!). LotFP, as always, slow but worth the wait.

03.12.2014: NEW RELEASES!

Or in PDF here.

27.11.2014: Happy Fun Book Release Day in ONE WEEK

The printer confirms that the reprints will be delivered by December 4 at the latest, so that means A Red & Pleasant Land, The Idea from Space, No Salvation for Witches, Death Frost Doom, and Tower of the Stargazer will finally be available for sale at that time.

I know my previous update here says I'd start preorders right after that confirmation, but let's be safe and wait until it's confirmed that everything is OK and ready to ship, OK?
